OUR STORY

Over the past decade, Dr. Hillam has taught implantology in a wide variety of settings — including as a faculty member for Implant Training Solutions, The California Implant Institute, and as a private consultant. Dr. Hillam has lectured on implant and soft tissue topics in many parts of the U.S. and abroad. He is on the advisory board of Novadontics, has worked for Hiossen Implants as a content editor, and is currently on the Nobel Biocare speaker’s list. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2004, and he received his MAGD award in 2016. Dr. Hillam is passionate about the need to supplement the “how” of oral implantology with the critical theoretical elements that constitute the “what,” “why,” and “when” of the discipline — this unique approach, now taught at Roseman University.

Dr. Koerner has presented hundreds of didactic and participation oral surgery courses in the U.S. and around the world — speaking about twice a month at dental meetings both large and small. Dr. Koerner is the author of many articles on various aspects of oral surgery for the general dentist and has authored or co-authored four books on oral surgery. He has a Masters Degree in education.

In addition, Dr. Koerner has made several surgery DVDs with Dr. Gordon Christensen on various surgery topics. He is past president of the Utah Dental Association and Utah Academy of General Dentistry. Though not an oral surgeon, Dr. Koerner received surgery training in the U.S. Army where he completed a General Practice Residency. He was given the National AGD’s Weclew award for his contributions to dentistry and dental education and the Utah Dental Association’s Distinguished Service Award.
